ABOUT TRIATHLON LIFE & Catherine
A friend once talked about creating "One Big Life" vs. "finding balance". Even though the concept resonated deeply with me, I didn't yet know how to create such a thing for myself. Around the same time, I stumbled into triathlon and with it, an inadvertent framework for including healthy things in my life that I consistently de-pritoritized otherwise. (I came from the entrepreneurial world where things like eating and sleeping are sometimes considered "luxuries" to be skipped or minimized where possible.) On the other hand, my Triathlon Life starts from a place where eating well, sleeping well, and exercise are not optional, and everything builds around that. Somewhat magically, everything fits better this way.
Starting a blog about my Triathlon Life is something I've been reluctant to do, especially now that I'm a few years into the journey and understand how far I have yet to go. Yet I continue to hear from friends, family and acquaintances that they've found inspiration in some part of my journey. Humbly, I'll start sharing more of the journey here, and we'll find out together where this Triathlon Life leads. Perhaps it's an opportunity to advocate for the things I hold dear, like incorporating healthy habits into daily life, as well as keeping my friends safe out on the roads when they're training.
When I'm not doing tri-geekery, I enjoy helping fellow entrepreneurs by sharing my experiences at IntegratorHaven.com, as well as serving as a consultant in a variety of areas from the field of digital marketing (see my book Internet Marketing Start-to-Finish published by Pearson), sales training, and occasionally pitching in as a part-time Integrator/COO.
